Jacobsville is the heart of the city because it sits at its center and faces many of its most important issues. This makes it a place where solutions can be developed to benefit many. The community’s resilience, character, toughness, and untapped potential are formed by hardworking, diverse residents whose common experiences often go unseen.
 

Jacobsville also has one of the city’s largest and oldest parks, historic structures, and many kind, enduring people. My volunteer experiences with these residents show me that their presence and commitment make Jacobsville a community worth investing in.
